I am confused about the Public folders. These appear in the Outlook view? A folder on OneDrive that a teacher could share with an entire class would be the ideal solution. Is there any way to do that?

Forum Post: RE: Site collection administrator has no access to Sites
Hi Neil, The issue is caused by the mismatches between the affected user's Office 365 account and his personal site. You can refer to the following scenarios to understand the root cause of this issue: 1. Admin deleted an account in office 365, then created a new one with the same login ID - email address. 2. However by design, personal site will be deleted in 14 days after the day account is deleted. Thus, the personal site & newly created account mismatches. We have run a script from server side to fix this issue, please kindly verify if the issue is resolved. If the issue is resolved, would you mind marking this reply as helpful and verified answer by clicking Yes under this post, for example, the “Yes” besides “Was this helpful?”? This can benefit other community members and help them quickly find helpful reference. Thanks, Allen Qiu

Forum Post: RE: Cannot create folder called "Forms" in OneDrive for Business
Hi Joseph, Based on your description, I understand that you want to move a folder to OneDrive for Business library synced folder. However, the folder cannot be synced. In this case, I’d like to know whether the folder name is “forms”. If not, to help you with the issue, I’d like to collect the following information: 1.Since OneDrive for Business has sync limit, please check whether your folder exceed the limits via this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2933738. 2.Could you put some documents in a library and see if they can be synced to your computer? 3.Are there any other users encounter the same issue? I noticed that you want to create a folder named “forms” online and it cannot be created. I’d like to explain that this is a normal behavior. Because when you sync OneDrive for Business with SharePoint Online or SharePoint 2013, a folder named "forms" isn't supported at the root level for a list or library. This occurs because "forms" is a hidden default folder that's used to store templates and forms for the library. You can see the information in the above mentioned article. Thanks, Kevin Hu

Forum Post: RE: Newsfeed, Onedrive, Sharepoint Greyed Out - URGENT
Hi Casey, I understand that you ran into issue that the Newsfeed, OneDrive and SharePoint option are grey out. To fix this issue, we need to run a script from server side to provision the migrated user for Newsfeed, OneDrive and SharePoint service. To be honest, it is hard to run the script in one day, since the fix is time-consuming. However, the engineering team and we will work hard to help you to solve the problem. Once we get the latest update, we will post back as soon as possible. Therefore, please provide the following information so we can help you further: 1. Your tenant domain (contoso.onmicrosoft.com) 2. Your global admin’s Office 365 email addresses (we may liaise with this email address) 3. A list of all the problematic user’s Office 365 email addresses. To protect your privacy, I’ll send a private message to you to collect these information. Please access my private message via the following steps: • Go to the Your details section on the right side of the community site. • Click Private messages . • Click the subject title of the response to read the message. • You can reply by using the form in this display. • Click Submit Reply. Forum Post: RE: Password Reset Requests
1. Thanks Aaron. Yes, you are correct. I have password synchronization enabled and it is working perfectly. I manage my passwords in my local AD. I can't find any way in Office 365 to request a password reset when logged in as myself of the users that are synchronized. 2. This is what each email looks like. 3. Each email is for one specific user to reset their password. The account names and the users first and last name are actual users in our AD that have been synced. The email is going to my (Office 365 Admin) email address. I've only received 3 or 4 email messages and we have a large number of accounts that were synced. 4. Our students use their local AD accounts to log into domain joined computers on campus, and they also use the same accounts to log into our on premise email system. They have used these accounts and passwords in this way for a long time. They are unaware that we recently enabled DirSync to duplicate their account in Office365/Azure. The local domain joined computers on campus are Windows 7 with Office 2013. Students may also own personal computers with Windows 8.1/Office 2013. I am speculating that these students may be creating themselves a personal Microsoft Account using the same user account name/email address we just DirSynced with Azure for their own personal use, perhaps even an outlook.com email address or their own personal Office 365 subscription. I'm wondering if they attempt to reset their personal account password for their Microsoft account that might be a possible source of these password reset email messages. I have tried logging in to Office 365 with my provisioned accounts and I cannot find a way to change the password, so I am wondering if something other than our Office 365 site could be what is sending these emails. I haven't yet contacted these students to ask what they are doing just yet - I don't want to start asking vague questions about their personal accounts and password resets until I understand a little more about what they might be doing to cause this. Thanks for your assistance! Brian

Forum Post: RE: docx - XML/Trojan.WUIX-0
Hi Henry, sorry for my polish :) It was already explained its the problem with docx attachments, that are recognized as XML/Trojan.WUIX-0, and thus according to the default policy removed. I was trying to resolve the issue in any way, and the last possibility I had found was to disable filtering for the docx attachments in the transport rules. As I understand this is the global issue, since I am not the only one who has such problem. Is there any chance this fix it soon ? Regrads JN

Forum Post: RE: docx - XML/Trojan.WUIX-0
Dodajcie sobie w regułach transportu wyłączenie filtrowania dla załączników typu docx. To jest przynajmniej obejście problemu. JN
